Rsk via Local Transformations
نویسنده
چکیده
RSK is normally defined in terms of a somewhat complicated procedure called row-insertion. This definition unfortunately masks the remarkable symmetry property that if A RSK 7−−−→ (P,Q) then At RSK 7−−−→ (Q,P ). Here we present an alternate description of RSK via local transformations that makes the symmetry obvious. Our approach is thus similar in spirit to the growth diagrams of Fomin [6]. In order to motivate this description, we first examine the Gelfand-Tsetlin patterns associated to the Young tableaux that result from RSK, and show how RSK can be thought of as a map between matrices.

Combinatorics of Arc Diagrams, Ferrers Fillings, Young Tableaux and Lattice Paths
Several recent works have explored the deep structure between arc diagrams, their nestings and crossings, and several other combinatorial objects including permutations, graphs, lattice paths, and walks in the Cartesian plane. This thesis inspects a range of related combinatorial objects that can be represented by arc diagrams, relationships between them, and their connection to nestings and cr...
متن کاملRsk-2 activity is necessary for epidermal growth factor-induced phosphorylation of CREB protein and transcription of c-fos gene.
Activation by growth factors of the Ras-dependent signaling cascade results in the induction of p90 ribosomal S6 kinases (p90(rsk)). These are translocated into the nucleus upon phosphorylation by mitogen-activated protein kinases, with which p90(rsk) are physically associated in the cytoplasm. In humans there are three isoforms of the p90(rsk) family, Rsk-1, Rsk-2, and Rsk-3, which are product...
متن کاملSUPER- AND SUB-ADDITIVE ENVELOPES OF AGGREGATION FUNCTIONS: INTERPLAY BETWEEN LOCAL AND GLOBAL PROPERTIES, AND APPROXIMATION
Super- and sub-additive transformations of aggregation functions have been recently introduced by Greco, Mesiar, Rindone and v{S}ipeky [The superadditive and the subadditive transformations of integrals and aggregation functions, {it Fuzzy Sets and Systems} {bf 291} (2016), 40--53]. In this article we give a survey of the recent development regarding the existence of aggregation functions with ...
متن کاملStructural and Functional Basis for p38-MK2-Activated Rsk Signaling in Toll-Like Receptor-Stimulated Dendritic Cells
Rsk kinases play important roles in several cellular processes such as proliferation, metabolism, and migration. Until recently, Rsk activation was thought to be exclusively initiated by Erk1/2, but in dendritic cells (DC) Rsk is also activated by p38 mitogen-activated protein (MAP) kinase via its downstream substrates, MK2/3. How and why this noncanonical configuration of the MAP kinase pathwa...

Kaposi's Sarcoma-Associated Herpesvirus (KSHV) is an oncogenic virus which has adapted unique mechanisms to modulate the cellular microenvironment of its human host. The pathogenesis of KSHV is intimately linked to its manipulation of cellular signaling pathways, including the extracellular signal-regulated kinase (ERK) mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK) pathway. We have previously shown t...
